Thank you for your interest in adopting from our rescue. Once we receive your adoption application, we will begin reviewing it as soon as possible. 

1. To adopt from 4 Little Paws, start by completing our online application. If you are unable, to access the application, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.  First, we will review your application and check references, and will contact you with any additional questions and to get a better understanding of what kind of dog would be best suited for your family. 

2. Once your application is approved, we will set up a time for a home visit whereby an 4 Little Paws volunteer will visit your home to make sure it is a proper environment for our dog or puppy.

3. After you are notified that you are approved, you will fill out the adoption contract and pay half of the adoption fee.

4. We will arrange for your new family member to be transferred as close to your home as possible. Once your new dog is delivered, you will pay the other half of the adoption fee if applicable.

Please understand that we ask many questions during the adoption process and we screen our applicants very carefully. It might seem like we are invasive, but we need to make sure we place each 4 Little Paws dog into the best environment possible.

And remember, we are always here to help AFTER you adopt your new family member. We want this to be a happy experience for both you and our dogs – any questions you have about their habits and silly quirks, please don’t hesitate to ask!
